Movie Review: SILENT HILL - REVELATION - STARBURST Magazine
Silent Hill: Revelation clocks in at a brisk ninety-five minutes. Plot points move quickly and things roll in a straightforward, no-nonsense manner. The Silent Hill films boast a rich and inventive backstory involving a bizarre cult, a child demon and sorcery in modern-day America. Yet one of the major failings is the sometimes cack-handed use ...

Silent Hill always seemed like a video game that should be a movie. Sure, from Super Mario Bros. onwards big screen video adaptations haven’t exactly had a spotless record.Generally speaking, something gets lost in translation. Silent Hill: Revelation (2012) Movie Review - CineMarter
Silent Hill: Revelation is very much like the first film in terms of its imagery, but it’s faster paced, has worse dialogue and characters, and is too familiar at this point to be truly frightening. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (Movie Review) | Bloody Good Horror
It's been six years since the original "Silent Hill" film hit theaters, a film that at the time I remember thinking was fairly solid. I remember it being visually striking, but falling apart in the end due to a series of bizarrely video-game like info dumps in the third act. Intentional or not, it sort of hobbles a film that otherwise could have ended up being a classic.
